Microsoft Corp. (Microsoft) is a technology-based company that develops, licenses, and supports software products, services, and devices. The company offers operating systems, server applications, business solution applications, video games, and training and certification services. Microsoft operates its business and reports its financials through three segments: 1) Intelligent Cloud, 2) Productivity and Business Processes, and 3) More Personal Computing. The Intelligent Cloud segment comprises cloud services as well as public, private, and hybrid server products. The More Personal Computing segment comprises Windows, devices such as Surface and PC accessories, gaming such as Xbox hardware and content, and search advertising. Microsoft has five engineering groups: 1) AI and Research, 2) Cloud and AI, 3) Experiences and Devices, 4) LinkedIn, and 5) Gaming. AI and Research is engaged in developing AI-driven solutions. Cloud and AI develops AI cognitive services, cloud infrastructure, server, database, CRM and business process applications. Experiences and Devices develops Office, Windows and Surface. LinkedIn runs the linkedin.com website, and Gaming develops gaming hardware, content, and services.
