The post-pandemic recovery is being driven by increasing demand for polyurethane-based products in developing markets, especially in Asia Pacific, where economic growth and industrialization continue to accelerate.

As of 2024 global production capacity for polyether polyols stood at around 14,500 kilotons, with operating rates ranging from 65% to 75% over the past five years.
