The UHF payload is set to launch in 2024 on the EUTELSAT 36D telecommunications satellite, which is based on the Airbus Eurostar Neo platform. The UHF communications will be managed by the company's Network Operations Center in Toulouse, France.

Collins Aerospace will design, manufacture, and support nuclear-hardened VLF military SATCOM radios for strategic bombers. Collins Aerospace's military communications experts will build, upgrade, and maintain secure and jam-resistant very low frequency (VLF) radios for United States Air Force strategic bomber aircraft, allowing the planes to communicate securely with national command authorities while on long-range missions. The United States Air Force Nuclear Warfare Center at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts has awarded a $99.5 million contract to Collins Aerospace for Common Very Low Frequency (VLF)/Low Frequency Increment 1 Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center for VLF modernization production/interim contractor support and sustainment for the B-2, B-52, and potential future aircraft.

Japan chooses a military satellite communications company. Two X-band military communications satellites will be built, launched, and operated by a consortium led by SkyPerfectJSat under a private financing initiative, a Japanese Defense Ministry official announced on November 28. According to the official, the consortium, which consists of NEC, NTT, and Maeda Corp., will likely establish a special purpose company that will sign the service supply contract in the upcoming weeks. In 2015 or 2016, the satellites would be sent into orbit. Masayuki Iwaike, director of missile defence and space policy at the defence ministry, stated in a presentation here during the Global Milsatcom conference organised by SMi Group that the Japanese government will keep ownership of the satellites for the term of the contract.
