To transfer energy from a charging station to a wireless device transformer coupling of two inductor coils is used. An inductive charger or the charging station consists of a sender coil. A transformer is formed and current is induced in the adjacent receiver coil. Wireless charging is beneficial as it does not require conductive connectors and makes charging connections insulated and devices secured.
